Exciting Locum Tenens Opportunity in Ohio Are you an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon looking for a unique and rewarding locum tenens opportunity? We have a fantastic position available in the state of Ohio, located near Westerville, OH. Position Details: We are currently seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide coverage for the vacation period from December 22, 2023, to January 5, 2024. The position requires scheduled clinical hours along with on-call responsibilities. The facility is looking for a dedicated provider to handle a varied number of patients per shift in a department with 6 beds. Practice Setting: This is an inpatient position with no outpatient requirements. The facility does not mandate hospital or surgery center privileges, and temporary privileges are available if necessary. MANDATED Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery, ACLS, BLS, and ABLS certifications. While board certification is not mandatory, the provider should be eligible for certification. Only providers with active licenses in Ohio will be considered. Support Staff and Specialties: The locum tenens coverage will include supervision of one advance practice provider (PA/NP). The provider will work with a team of 12 office staff members. No resident or teaching supervision is required. Location Details: This opportunity is located near Westerville, OH, providing a convenient and welcoming environment. Ohio offers a mix of urban and suburban landscapes, with cultural attractions and outdoor activities to explore. Call Details: The call type is beeper with an average call of 1 per 24 hours, requiring a response time of 30 minutes. Phone consults are minimal, ranging from 0-3, and the call ratio is 1:3. During the call shift, the provider is expected to see 1-3 patients, with a call-back percentage of less than 5. The call covers both scheduled clinical hours and on-call responsibilities.
