In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of refrigerated goods across various routes. Operate a refrigerated truck to transport goods and materials in a safe and timely manner Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules Manage routes and routines to proceed in the most efficient way possible Conduct routine truck inspections and maintenance, documenting any issues Handle documentation pertaining to cargo, routes, and other logistics Maintain communication with dispatch and respond to any emergencies or delays en route Maximize fuel consumption and ensure the safety of goods Proven experience in truck driving and freight management Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to manage unexpected situations, such as weather or traffic conditions Strong communication and interpersonal skills Working knowledge of electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) Familiarity with truck maintenance and repair Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Reefer Endorsement DOT Medical Certification
