Abound Health is hiring a Driver/Transportation Specialist to provide safe, reliable transportation and compassionate support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, working independently, and being active in the community. About the Role As a Driver with Abound Health, you?ll do more than transport clients?you?ll help them access essential services, participate in community activities, and maintain independence. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time driving jobs , transportation support roles , or human services positions with purpose. Key Responsibilities Safely transport individuals to and from home, day programs, medical appointments, and community outings Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle Ensure passenger safety, comfort, and well-being Maintain cleanliness and readiness of assigned vehicles Follow daily route schedules and communicate delays or concerns Complete documentation (daily logs, incident reports, etc.) Participate in required training and ongoing development Work independently in the community Drive in inclement weather as required Qualifications 18 years old Valid driver?s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation Ability to pass criminal background, driving record, and healthcare registry checks CPR/First Aid Certification (provided upon hire) Ability to assist with lifting or transfers as needed Experience supporting individuals with IDD preferred but not required Minimum 1 year of transportation experience preferred Compensation Starting Pay: $16.50 per hour Weekly pay Paid onboarding and training Available Schedules Driver 1 (Monday?Friday) 6:30 AM ? 9:30 AM 1:30 PM ? 4:00 PM Driver 2 Monday: 6:00?10:30 AM, 1:00?4:15 PM Tuesday: 6:30?9:40 AM, 1:00?4:15 PM Wednesday: 6:00?10:30 AM, 1:00?4:30 PM Thursday: 6:00?10:30 AM, 1:00?4:15 PM Friday: 6:00?10:30 AM, 1:00?4:15 PM These shifts are ideal for candidates seeking part-time morning and afternoon driving jobs .
