Job Description

Provides exquisite customer service to Cashier Office customers. Accurately documents all transactions on ledgers and in the Affinity and eMDs systems. Balances cash receipts and deposits. Maintains cash security. Releases medical records prepared by the Medical Records staff.

Shift information: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00a - 4:30p

Requirements

• Fully knowledgeable of and conducts all activities in accordance with regulatory compliance requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA rules and regulations, Medicare Secondary Payer Screening requirements, medical necessity screening and ABN rules, Red Flag Rules, and billing and coding compliance rules and regulations.
• Knowledge and understanding of AHS managed care payer rules. PREFERRED
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • AAHAM or HFMA certification, or active pursuit of certification.
  • Previous experience working with public and providing exquisite customer service strongly.
  • Experience with monetary transactions and cash controls strongly preferred.
  • Previous hospital billing experience and demonstrated knowledge of third-party billing procedures and claim review and analysis.
