Registered Respiratory Therapist role within the UH Samaritan

Registered Respiratory Therapist, to support patients in our acute

relevant work experience A Brief Overview The therapist is learning
and incorporating the mission statement and standards of behavior
of his/her hospital or care facility. This therapist performs basic
competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory
respiratory therapy with minimum supervision. What You Will Do
Mechanical ventilation Medicated aerosol delivery Airway clearance
therapy Patient monitoring Oxygen and humidity therapy Special
procedures (CPR, specialty gases, bronchoscopy, transport, etc.)
Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and
responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department
during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and
securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our
patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies
and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in
the workplace. Qualifications Education Associate's Degree in
Respiratory (Required) or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory
(Required) Work Experience 1 year of Respiratory Therapy
(Preferred) Licenses and Certifications Registered Respiratory
Therapist (RRT) (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred) Current RCP Ohio
License granted by the Ohio Medical Board (Required) American
Association for Respiratory Care membership (Preferred) NRP
Certified (Neonatal facilities) (Required within 6 Months) Position
Details/Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of experience is
preferred. Previous work in a hospital setting is also preferred.
Schedule is (2) 12-hour shifts per week, Monday-Friday,
5:00pm-5:30am, every 3rd weekend, and rotating holidays. Physical
