Job Details Position Type: Travel (Locum Tenens) – Anesthesiology Physician Location: Sharon, PA (Pennsylvania locum tenens physician job) Start Date: March 30, 2026 End Date: June 29, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks (contract assignment) Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off Shifts per Week: 5 Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts (07:00–15:00) Hours per Week: 40 Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $10,540–$11,110 Call: PM at-home call (must remain within a 30-minute radius) and weekend 24-hour at-home call (within a 30-minute radius) Practice Setting: Community hospital environment with 2 ORs and ~400 cases/year Case Volume: Average ~2 cases/day Monday–Friday Case Mix: Orthopedics, General Surgery, Endoscopy, Podiatry OB: No OB Job Requirements Ability to take at-home call and remain within a 30-minute radius while on call Strong clinical judgment and ability to practice independently while collaborating with surgeons, CRNAs, and perioperative nursing staff Comfort with common perioperative procedures (e.g., arterial lines, central venous access) as clinically indicated Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for scheduled and urgent cases across the OR and procedural areas Deliver general anesthesia services for orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopy, and podiatry cases (no OB) Work day shifts (07:00–15:00) within a 7-on/7-off rotation to support consistent perioperative coverage Participate in PM at-home call and weekend 24-hour at-home call; respond to callbacks as needed (average ~1/month) Perform and support perioperative procedures as clinically indicated (e.g., arterial lines, central lines) Manage your own cases while on call and coordinate with the surgical and nursing teams to maintain efficient patient flow and patient safety Supervise a CRNA as needed, ensuring appropriate oversight, documentation, and quality of care Apply today to be considered for this locum tenens anesthesiologist travel assignment in Sharon, PA.
