Job Description *This position is eligible for a $2,500 sign on
bonus. * Join our team at Akron General, Cleveland Clinic’s only
Level One Trauma Center, where you’ll have the opportunity to work

fast-paced and rewarding settings. Radiology Technologists use
x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a
Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the
exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position,
correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality
image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. Radiology
Technologists may go on to specialize in more specific imaging
techniques such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional
radiography, computer tomography, mammography, magnetic resonance
imaging and nuclear medicine. A caregiver in this position works
weekend days, 7:00am—7:30pm. A caregiver who excels in this role
will: - Adjust and control complex electronic equipment in applying
ionizing radiation for radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations.
- Prepare and position patients prior to procedures to ensure their
safety and to obtain desired reports for diagnostic purposes. -
Calculate and select appropriate equipment and technical factors
such as proper type of film and number of kilovolts or
milliamperes. - Maintain working condition of all equipment and
report any malfunctions or needs for adjustments to appropriate
personnel. - Assist in maintaining sanitary condition of radiology
area. - Comply with all Radiology information system entry
requirements for accurate patient, film, supply, tracking monitors.
- Assist and support the Radiologic student program, specifically
the clinical aspect. - Complete mandatory education and training to
maintain organization and department-specific competencies and
requirements Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver
include: - Completion of Radiologic Technology programs from
approved school. - Registered Radiographer (R) with American
Registry of Radiology Technologists. - Current Radiology state
license. - Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: -
One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist. Our

- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. -
Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying
weight and manipulate equipment daily. Personal Protective
Equipment: - Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective
equipment as required. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $26.00 Maximum
hourly: $40.50 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects
the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s
actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into
consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience,
skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include
any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime,
etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland
Clinic’s benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision
