Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Oncology RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration:
16 weeks Shift: Day and Night rotating shifts Hours per Shift: 12
hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical and
oncology experience is required. Heme Onc experience is strongly
preferred. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. - Advanced Cardiovascular
Life Support (ACLS) and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy
Certification are preferred. Must-Have: - Experience in telemetry
monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias. - Ability to
administer blood products and manage central lines and peripheral
lines. - Skills in rapid response and fall prevention protocols.
Description: This role involves providing care in a
medical-surgical and oncology unit with a focus on patients
undergoing bone marrow transplant procedures. The unit specializes
in patients with various diagnoses, including acute lymphoblastic
leukemia, acute myeloid leukemia, multiple myeloma, and
non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Candidates must have experience
administering treatments related to blood dyscrasias and care for
patients receiving autologous, syngeneic, or allogeneic
transplants. Additional responsibilities include telemetry
monitoring, patient education, and coordination with
interdisciplinary teams. The candidate will be required to follow
infection prevention protocols and manage the complexities of
inpatient oncology care. Strong communication skills are essential
for collaborating with healthcare professionals and providing
support to patients and families. All candidates must meet
experience requirements within the last three years and hold a
