Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of nursing experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, V certification required Must-Have: - Ability to pass the telemetry test - Experience monitoring telemetry patients - Epic experience required - Skills in IV starts, general nursing, medication administration, monitoring, and patient education Description: MUST BE ABLE TO PASS THE TELEMETRY TEST. SHOULD HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE IN MONITORING TELEMETRY PATIENTS. A MINIMUM OF TWO YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. GENERAL NURSING SKILLS SUCH AS IV STARTS, MONITORING, LABS, MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION, AND PATIENT EDUCATION ARE NECESSARY. REQUIRED TO FLOAT WITHIN UNITS OF EQUIVALENT OR LOWER LEVEL OF ACUITY. PATIENT AGE GROUPS INCLUDE ADULTS AND GERIATRICS. DAILY CENSUS IS 22. STAFFING RATIO IS 4-5 PATIENTS PER NURSE. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE STRONG COMMUNICATION AND TEAMWORK SKILLS. THE UNIT PROVIDES SUPPORT FROM MULTIPLE INTERDISCIPLINARY TEAM MEMBERS.
