As an RN this team, you will collaborate with physicians and fellow caregivers to support patients within our Care Center. In this role, you can make a difference in how they view and adapt to an uncertain future, no matter what that may hold. Additionally, this position offers a flexible schedule and autonomy to work independently, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while continuing to serve as an emotional ally and comfort. A caregiver in this position works 7:00pm to 7:30am, 3 12-hr shifts every other weekend and 2 holidays per year. A caregiver who excels in this role will: - Provide supervision, assessment, planning and direct patient care to hospice patients. - Perform accurate and complete admissions assessments and re-assessments. - Assess patients for safety risks, abuse and neglect. - Assess, document and manage patient’s pain. - Prioritize and document patient problems. - Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately with a focus on patient comfort. - Coordinate care for managing a caseload of patients. - Document changes in patient condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care/interventions. - Evaluate, update and revise plans of care. - Assess educational needs of patients, caregivers and family while considering cultural issues and other special challenges. - Provide teaching and educational material to patients and families concerning diagnosis, diagnostic tests and procedures, safe and proper use of equipment, reason for and safe use of medication food/drug interactions, injury prevention, self-care and nutritional needs. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing - Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross - One year of current clinical experience as an RN - One year of experience in an acute medical-surgical or critical care setting Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse Certification Why You'll Love Working with Us: - 403(b) Savings & Investment Plan - Investment Pension Plan (IPP) - Tuition Reimbursement - Paid Time Off (PTO) - Employee Discounts - Dental and Vision Plans - Life Insurance and Disability Physical Requirements: - Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting packages, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. - Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. - Heavy work – Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. Personal Protective Equipment: - Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $33.50 Maximum hourly: $53.60 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
