working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Columbus,
Ohio, 43210! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour and Day
3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of Cardiac
ICU experience preferred License: Valid nursing license required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: - Epic experience
required - IV start, telemetry, ventilators, Swan Ganz monitoring,
conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA line skills required -
Previous travel experience preferred Description: This position
requires weekdays and some weekends. Rotating holidays are also
part of the schedule. The nurse will be required to float within
units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. Expected patient
ratios are 1:1 to 2 patients per nurse. Experience with cardiac
procedures and patient management in a high-acuity setting is
preferred. Candidates must be familiar with care of patients using
ECMO, IABP, and Impella. Skills in managing ventilated patients and
interpreting dysrhythmias are essential. The nurse will handle
post-cardiac surgery patients directly from the operating room as
well as pre/post cardiac catheterization interventions. A thorough
understanding of central and arterial line management is necessary.
Infection prevention and isolation precautions must be observed at
all times. The candidate should have experience with critical care
protocols, including those for continuous IV sedation and managing
high flow nasal cannula. Blood product administration and
understanding cardiopulmonary resuscitation are required
competencies. Flexibility with scheduling is necessary, including
weekend coverage. The staff may also collaborate with
interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory
services. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to
communicate effectively with peers and patients is essential for
