We are recruiting an Associate Packaging Engineer for a consulting
engagement with our direct client, a leading global biotechnology
company. Job Description: This position will report into the
Packaging Engineering group under Combination Product Operations
(CPO) in New Albany, Ohio (AOH). The role focuses on the
development of engineering drawings and technical layout templates
(TLTs) to support commercial artwork for labeling and secondary
packaging printed components. Knowledge of labeling and secondary
packaging design is key to the position. The position requires
experience in multitasking different requests, technical problem
solving and communication (written and verbal) skills, and the
ability to work in teams and adapt to a rapidly changing
environment. Top Must Have Skill Sets: • Bachelor’s in Design,
Packaging, Engineering, or related field. • 3 to 5 years of general
design experience. • Independent thinker with demonstrated skills
working in teams or leading project teams. • Strong interpersonal
and communication skills. • Ability to quickly learn new concepts
while paying close attention to details. • Experience in a GDP /
GMP environment is a bonus. Day to Day Responsibilities: • Creation
of engineering drawings and technical layout templates (TLTs) to
support commercial packaging artwork development. • Competency with
AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat
Professional), or similar software application to create, modify
and approve engineering drawings and templates. • Familiarity with
printing processes for labeling and packaging components. •
Collaboration with cross-functional teams (i.e., Quality, Device
Engineering, Supply Chain, Artwork, Manufacturing, Regulatory,
etc.) in pre-commercial and commercial activities. • Troubleshoot
issues with packaging specifications and templates as related to
Artwork. • Supporting Packaging Engineering team as needed to
ensure project milestones are met. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor
degree OR Associate degree and 4 years of experience OR High school
diploma / GED and 6 years of experience Preferred Qualifications: •
Bachelor’s in Design, Packaging, Engineering, or related field. • 3
to 5 years of general design experience. • Independent thinker with
demonstrated skills working in teams or leading project teams. •
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to quickly
learn new concepts while paying close attention to details. •
Experience in a GDP / GMP environment is a bonus. Red Flags:
