Job Description Job Description We are looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Replacement Installer to join our team. Unlike new construction, this role focuses on the replacement and upgrade of existing home comfort systems. The ideal candidate will have 3–10 years of experience and a passion for providing high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional service directly to homeowners. Residential HVAC Installer Duties and Responsibilities: System Replacement: Remove old residential HVAC equipment (furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, and mini-splits) and professionally install high-efficiency replacement systems. Custom Retrofitting: Modify or install ductwork, gas piping, and refrigerant lines as needed to fit the new equipment into existing residential spaces. In-Home Professionalism: Maintain a clean work area and protect the customer’s home by using drop cloths and shoe covers; leave the job site cleaner than you found it. System Commissioning: Perform startup on new equipment to ensure it is running at peak performance and explain basic thermostat operation to the homeowner. Provide Own Tools: Maintain and provide your own set of professional hand tools and power tools. Lead by Example: Mentor junior installers and helpers, ensuring the "Performance" standard of quality is met on every job. Residential HVAC Installer Requirements and Qualifications: HVAC Experience: 3–10 years of experience specifically in the HVAC industry (Residential replacement experience preferred). Technical Skills: Strong sheet metal/duct fabrication skills and proficiency in brazing, wiring, and venting. Customer Excellence: Exceptional skills in relationship management and communication; you must be comfortable interacting with homeowners. Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot unique challenges often found in older home retrofits. Professionalism: Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean professional appearance. NATE Certification: NATE certification is a plus (we value continued education and training). Compensation: Pay: Competitive pay based on experience.
