UniFirst Corporation, a leading provider of workplace uniforms and protective workwear clothing across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, is looking for a skilled Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our First Aid Safety team. This role is critical in supporting our mission to ensure the safety and compliance of various business environments through the maintenance and service of fire extinguishing equipment. As part of our safety division, you will play a key role in safeguarding workplaces by ensuring all fire extinguishing systems are operating effectively and meet current fire safety standards. Perform installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire extinguishing equipment including portable fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and related components. Conduct onsite inspections to ensure compliance with national and local fire codes. Complete detailed service reports and maintain records of inspections and replacements. Provide training and demonstrations to customers on proper use and maintenance of fire extinguishing equipment. Coordinate with facility managers to schedule inspections and maintenance. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, and participating in ongoing training. Strong knowledge of fire safety codes and regulations. Proficiency with tools and technology used in fire extinguisher maintenance. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to provide great customer service and communicate effectively with diverse customers. Physical ability to handle equipment and machinery used in inspections. Medical Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Fire Extinguisher Technician by a recognized authority. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
